THE CHALLENGE

Vet practices rarely have the time to engage with pet owners on social media. And yet research shows it as a fantastic way to offer advice and build trusting relationships. Elanco knew that vets needed help to start the conversation about worming treatments and products. That’s where we came in.

 

THE SOLUTION

Building on the key insights that pet owners love to share photos of their pets on social media, and that 1 in 4 dogs and cats have their own social media pages, we created our ‘magic moments’ campaign.

 

A content plan and bespoke posts were put together for vet practices that encouraged pet owners to share pictures of them with their pets on their own social media.

 

There were quizzes, prizes and educational materials on good worming practices. We even designed materials for vet practices to promote the campaign within the practice, and gave out prizes for the practice with the most popular posts!

THE RESULTS

This campaign reached over 1.1 million people, completely exceeding the client’s targets. Over 10,000 individual pet owners engaged with our campaign, and it supported a total of 423 veterinary practices.

 

The campaign is now rolling out with #VetMagicMoments where practice staff share heart-warming stories from the practice.
